This particular New Moon Solar eclipse coincides not only with Mercury in Retrograde, but with the Devil's Comet as well and all of the planets will be pretty close to total alignment for this very powerful celestial event! Let's break this event down into its seperate celestial participants, as well as suggested crystals to work with during these energies and then some suggestions for Setting Intentions on the New Moon.
The Devil's Comet last showed himself in 1953, the Year Queen Elizabeth was crowned, the Korean War ended, my mother was born and Mount Everest was successfully climbed for the first time!! In 1912, another year that the Devil's Comet graced us with his presence, the First World War ended. Some say that comets are a bad omen, what do you think on this? I think that especially this time that the Devil's comet makes his appearance that this is not only a good omen but a total reset, a time to start over and as it's at the what is thought to be the beginning of the Golden Era, it has the more significance to me. Unfortuneately for some, this may not feel like a new beginning in a good way, especially at first.
As the Moon gives the Sun a big hug on this day (aka total eclipse), it gives us the pause that is needed for a total reset. Eclipse Season season in general really amplifies whatever current energies that are taking place and this can amplify your intentions as well as providing an energetic reset. For some, the eclipse energy can feel unstable, especially if you're not used to working with it, so if you believe that doing any sort of rituals during eclipse season, that is totally ok - always do what resonates with you!
This new moon solar eclipse is in the sign of Aries, the sign of New Beginnings and Courage, which ecourages us to take action on all of the intentions. thinking and planning that we have been doing up until now. It is time.
If you have been following along with me on social media since at least towards the end of 2023, you know that I have been talking about this (as I am sure others have to), for some time now. I want you all to know that you are worthy of all of the love, joy and abundance this world has to offer and now, with these combined energies, it is the time to get started with the actions to welcome all of this into your life.
We have all been working really hard to release what is not serving our highest and best good any longer for the last while and now it is time to fill up the space we have made with all that we desire, and are truly worthy of. If you have been doing the work, releasing during the full or waning moon phases will be more of maintenance ritual now, and won't feel so hard anymore. If you are just starting on your journey, do not stress, start where you are with setting some intentions on this new moon and know you are where you are meant to be at this time.
To set intentions on the new moon, I like to write out fully what my intentions are. On this big of celesital event, I invite you to go bigger, if that feels right to you, writing out your intentions for at least the next 6 months (until the next Eclipse Season) or next 5 - 10 years or even longer! Write this out on a piece of paper and then fold in towards you and turn to the right, repeating as many times as you wish. I like to do this 3 times as I find this gives me the perfect size to set my crystal on! I generally set a labradorite or black moonstone crystal on top of my intentions in my sacred space.
Rainbow Moonstone is known as the Stone of New Beginnings, Garnet helps us with grounding, will power and motivation, Aquamarine is known as the Stone of Courage and is calming and soothing, Citrine is well known stone for Abundance, Prehinite with Epidote is a powerful heart healer and helps us with overwhelm, helping us to get done what we should during these intense energies and beyond, Green Aventurine is the Money Stone and a stone of new beginnings, Pyrite is helpful for attracting abundance of wealth, along with being protective and finally red or fire crystals are good for these particualar energies so along with garnet, we have fire quartz which is energizing and balancing, allowing us that calm determination to move forward and Red Jasper is my favourite grounding stone.
During these intense energies, a Quantum Crystalline Energy Session can be especially beneficial, everyone always feels much lighter following a Crystalline session as that is actually a side benefit to releasing liming beliefs, blocks and outdated patternes not only from what we have accumulated in this lifetime, but what we have brought in from our ancestors and past lives as well.
